Land in Christchurch.
We will be waiting for you outside for meet & greet. After the formalities and other boring bits we will allow you to get over the long
flight and chill. We have an early start next day and we want you to rested and ready for all the awesomeness ahead.
(For those of you with a bit of restlessness, we won’t be too far from you anyways)
Please sort out your breakfast early and be ready to rock at 7am sharp at the hotel door. This is important because the first order of the day is the awesome
Tranz-Alpine train journey to Greymouth. You will experience some the most amazing, un-spoilt and untouched part of the planet.
We obviously will be at Greymouth to carry on to the next bit of our journey. From Greymouth we head to Glacier region of the west coast. Franz Joseph is 567 Kms away from Greymouth and we should be able to get there by 5pm in the evening.
After the sights filled day, we get you checked in to your rooms and leave to enjoy the evening in the charming little township.
Today we explore the magnificent glacial region. There are optional activities here, such as helicopter rides etc.
From Franz Joseph we continue further along the west coast towards fiordland region. We pass through Aspiring National park and cross the little town of Haast. We head inlands after that and aim for the simply beautigul town of Wanaka, our digs for the night.
Let’s have a easy day today and after a leisurely breakfast we explore Wanaka and chill by the lake. After lunch we can head on towards the highlight of our tour. The simple amazing alpine town of Queenstown. After getting to Queenstown we get you checked in to your rooms and leave you to amaze at the views to offer. Tonight we offer you a group dinner.
An early start today and it will be worth it. Today we have arranged for you a tour of the Milford Sounds. If you thought that the views could not get any better, this cruise will prove you wrong. This is tour is included in your trip and an on board buffet will also be provided on the cruise.
After a long Milford cruise this will be an easy day. We leave this day to ebony lovely queenstown and partake in adventure activity if you so wish to do so. There are many to choose from, ranging from bungee jump to sky diving. Queenstown is the adventure capital of the southern hemisphere for a reason. Do not wish for adventure, do not worry there are plenty to keep you busy, including shopping!
We bid adieu to Queenstown today, and believe us it’ll not be easy! But onwards we must go as there is more fun to be had.
Today we head towards the un-describable blue of the lake Tekapo. Glacial melt gives this lake an unique and mesmerizing shade of aquamarine blue. You will understand this the moment you set eyes on it. Lake Tekapo will be our halt for the night and here we will check out the beautiful and very photographed Church of the Good Shepherd. No explanation will be needed as to why it is one of the most photographed icons of NZ. This region has one of the darkest night skies and it is a light conservation zone a well. Even with naked eyes on a cloudless night you can a see an illuminated sky beyond your imagination. If the weather permits we will also had to the Mount John café to marvel at wonder of the stars. The fact that you will be spellbound can very easily be interpreted as an understatement.
Time files when you are having fun!
We head back to where we started from, to the beautiful city of Christchurch. Another leisurely paced day and we take the east coast route this time. Passing through beautiful wine country of Central Otago and charming towns of Geraldine and Fairlie.
We aim to be Christchurch in the late afternoon. You can relax and partake in a bit of shopping if you wish. Or you could reminisce about the wonderful week that it was.
Do you believe it’s already time to head back?
All good things must come to an end so must this, we will arrange for you to be dropped at the airport according to your flight schedule.
